This interesting key wound Cuckoo clock hung in my grandfather's
Den/bedroom. As he was a clock repair man, I've often wondered why he never fixed the 'asthma'
sound of the Cuckoo. It turns out the linkage for the two bellows had been reversed,
giving it its unique sound. I just don't have the room in the house to hang this clock,
and it just needs to be cleaned and oiled. The front door is missing, and the Cuckoo bird
needs a little TLC.
UPDATE: In a recent move from coast to coast, the
packers did a horrible job of packing most of my clocks, and this one,
like so many others suffered dearly. We're currently pursuing legal
action to gain repair value for these treasured heirlooms.
